Packs of terrifying dogs took over one of north London’s oldest haunts today and some of them had even sprouted wings.
But don’t panic! Dogs can enjoy Halloween too!
Hundreds of pets strutted their stuff in incredible Halloween outfits in a bid to raise money for fellow pooches that are looking for a home.

Lucy the Yorkshire Terrier dressed up with wings in Halloween fancy dress costumes for the All Dogs Matter Halloween Dog Walk to raise funds for the charity which houses and re-homes dogs in London
Ollie the Chihuahua dressed up as Frankenstein with his spooky mask wearing owner
Hugo and Freddie the Pugs dressed up as a skeleton and a ghost but got a bit carried away with some loving licks
Milo the Bischon Friese wearing his red wings for his Halloween fancy dress costume and howling from the rooftops
The annual event is organised by the charity All Dogs Matter, based in East Finchley, London.
The charity takes in and re-homes dogs in London and the Halloween Dog Walk was helping to raise funds for it to continue this work.

Daisy the Labradoodle and Tilly the Poodle dressed lead one of the packs on their haunt around the park
The charity encouraged owners to only dress their dogs up if they still seemed happy and it wasn’t causing them stress
The 320 acre London park Hampstead Heath was taken over by some amazing dressed up owners and their pets.
From spiders to bats, skeletons and even a Frankenstein visitors definitely pulled out all the stops.

As well as a fancy dress show, there were prizes to be won and bone-chilling goodies up for grabs.
A spokesman on the charity’s Facebook page stressed: ‘We all love our dogs and puppies and we know they don’t always appreciate being dressed up in costumes!

‘We always ask owners not to compromise their pet’s happiness and welfare and make sure they are comfortable, calm and happy in their doggy apparel.’
Similar events have also been held over the years including some spooky goings on in New York City, in the United States of America. Lots of dogs and their owners often attend the Dog Halloween Parade in Tompkins Square Park.
